Armed Robbery of Suspected Drug Deal

On Thursday February 1,, at 11:07 pm, a Culver City Police Officer on patrol in the area of Culver Boulevard and Ince Boulevard was alerted by victims of an armed robbery that had just occurred. The Officer quickly put out a broadcast and requested additional units to assist in searching the area for the suspect involved. Still, after an extensive search, the suspect was not located.

Officers immediately began investigating and learned that three adult victims had arrived at the 9000 block of Culver Boulevard at 11:00 pm to make an online purchase exchange of five tablets. As the transaction was concluded, a masked suspect approached from an unknown direction, pointed a black firearm at the three victims, and demanded the tablets and the victim's cell phone. The suspect then ordered the victims to get on the ground. Once on the ground, the suspect hit two of the victims on the head several times with a firearm. The suspect then fled northbound towards Durango Avenue and Venice Boulevard and out of view.

Culver City Police Department Investigators urge any witnesses who may have information to provide regarding this robbery to come forward.
