Groundbreaking at Westside Family Health Center

August 22, 2019

On Friday, August 23rd, the Westside Family Health Center (WFHC), its supporters, local politicians and dignitaries will celebrate the start of construction of the non-profit health clinic’s new home on Sepulveda Boulevard in Culver City.

The three-story building, formerly the offices of the LA Weekly, will be reconfigured to include 12,000 square feet of clinic space, 12,000 square feet of administrative space and over 80 parking spaces. When finished, it will include 24 exam rooms, four dental operatories, two vision rooms and seven consultation rooms. WFHC plans to begin operating out of the new space in early 2020.

First founded as a women’s health center, WFHC has grown to include four satellite sites and a mobile medical unit. The new home for WFHC was made possible by a generous pledge of $1 million dollars by Darlene and Alan Lasher and will allow them to double the number of patients treated each year in addition to offering expanded services.

The address for the new facility is 3861 Sepulveda Boulevard, Culver City, CA 90230
