Education Foundation Receives $20,000 From PXP

March 28, 2012

Plains Exploration & Production (PXP) gave a $20,000 check to the Culver City Education Foundation (CCEF) at the last CCUSD School Board Meeting on March 13.

With this donation CCUSD plans to purchase 10 tech combos (a document camera, LCD projector and secure cart) for all the Culver City Middle School Science Classes.

These tech combos will enhance the learning experience for science students. And next fall the CCMS Science classes will also go on a field trip to PXP to learn the ins and outs of exploration and production of Oil and Gas. PXP hopes to motivate students to want to pursue learning about science and math.

The document camera/LCD projector technology allows a variety of teaching materials to be projected on any blank surface so that students can clearly see the image. The equipment easily integrates the latest technology into lesson delivery for complex graphics, image displays or important text presentations.
