1. Detroit Lions (12-1): The Lions came from behind in the 4th quarter to defeat the Packers in Detroit, 34-31. A 35-yard field goal by kicker Jakes Bates with no time on the clock was the winner. 3. Minnesota Vikings (11-2): The Vikings are still just one game behind the Lions after drilling the Falcons, 42-21. Bills fans may be distraught over the loss, but Josh Allen fantasy owners were celebrating in what may have clinched playoff berths for some owners. 6. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3): The Steelers got some revenge, knocking off the Browns 27-14. The Browns had upset the Steelers in Cleveland on November 21st. The Steelers schedule is extremely challenging the final month, with games at Philadelphia, at Baltimore, at home against the Chiefs, and at home against the Bengals. Anything can happen in the playoffs, but the Chargers will go into the 2025 offseason with about ten draft picks and about $75 million in salary cap space. 10. Washington Commanders (8-5): The Commanders are coming off their Bye Week in Week 14 and are suddenly in a race for the final playoff berth in the NFC with the Rams. The team with the second-best record in the NFC will end up facing the Commanders or the Rams in the wild-card round of the NFC playoffs. 11. Houston Texans (8-5): The Texans are coming off their Bye Week in Week 14. The Texans could clinch the AFC South division with a win over the Dolphins in Houston and a loss by the Colts in Denver. The Texans need to use these final four games to get healthy, after they clinch the division. 13. Seattle Seahawks (8-5): The Seahawks are hot again after defeating the Cardinals in Glendale, Arizona, 30-18. Former UCLA running back Zach Charbonnet had a career-high day, rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. The victory extended the Seahawks winning streak to four games. 14. Los Angeles Rams (7-6): The Rams were very impressive in a 44-42 win over the Bills at SoFi Stadium. The Rams offense showed what they are capable of it scared the rest of the NFL. Quarterback Matthew Stafford was tossing lasers for 320 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Puka Nacua caught 12 passes for 162 yards and a TD, while also rushing for a TD. Running back Kyren Williams rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns, while wide receiver Cooper Kupp had five catches for 92 yards and a touchdown. This team is loaded offensively. 15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-6): The Buccaneers won their third in a row, defeating the hapless Raiders, 28-13. Quarterback Baker Mayfield threw for 295 yards and three touchdowns in the victory. 16. San Francisco 49ers (6-7): The 49ers got better in one week, thanks to the Bears, winning 38-13 in a blowout. Quarterback Brock Purdy completed 20 of 25 passes for 325 yards and two touchdowns, connecting with tight end George Kittle for six pass receptions and 151 yards in the rout. 17. Arizona Cardinals (6-7): The Cardinals have lost three games and look like a team that is fading down the stretch after their loss at home to the Seahawks. The Cardinals are an enigma. Miami Dolphins (6-7): The Dolphins tied their contest with the Jets at 26-26 with seven seconds remaining in the game on a Jason Sanders 52-yard field goal and then took the overtime kickoff and drove 70 yards to win it on a 10-yard TD pass from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to tight end Jonnu Smith, 32-26. 19. Indianapolis Colts (6-7): The Colts are coming off their Bye Week in Week 14 and they need to get their running game going, specifically running back Jonathan Taylor. In 2021, Taylor rushed for 1,811 yards to lead the NFL in rushing yardage. They need to ride him for the rest of the season if they hope to make the playoffs. 20. Atlanta Falcons (6-7): The Falcons lost their fourth consecutive game, this time getting thrashed by Sam Darnold and the Vikings, 42-21. Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins has thrown 17 touchdown passes and 15 interceptions, statistics that are not impressive and would suggest that he will not be the starter in Atlanta next season. 21. Cincinnati Bengals (5-8): Wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase caught a 40-yard touchdown pass with 1:01 remaining to give the Bengals a 27-20 win over the Cowboys. Chase had 14 receptions for 177 yards and two touchdowns. Chase leads the NFL in all receiving categories: receptions, yardage, and touchdowns. 22. Dallas Cowboys (5-8): The Cowboys botched a blocked punt, and gave the Bengals an extra possession, costing them the game in a 27-20 loss on Monday Night. Amani Oruwariye tried to field the bouncing ball when leaving it alone would have given Dallas possession. Oruwariye couldn't hold on, and the Bengals recovered at the Cincinnati 43-yard line with 1:53 remaining. Three plays later, quarterback Joe Burrow connected with wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase for a 40-yard touchdown to win the game. 23. New Orleans Saints (5-8): The Saints beat the Giants 14-11, to improve their record to 5-8, but lost quarterback Derek Carr to a fractured left hand, probably for the remainder of the season. 24. Chicago Bears (4-9): The Bears were dominated in the first half of their blowout loss to the 49ers, getting outgained on offense 319 yards to 4 yards to trail 24-0 at halftime. The Bears lost 38-13 in the debut for interim head coach Thomas Brown, a performance that will not help Brown if he wanted the job permanently. 25. New York Jets (3-10): "J-E-T-S. Just End The Season.'' The Jets lost again, this time in overtime 32-26 to the Dolphins. This has been a dismal season for the Jets, who actually had hopes of a playoff appearance and do have some talent on the roster. 26. New England Patriots (3-10): The Patriots had their Bye Week in Week 14. Since they do not need a quarterback, their top target in the draft could end up being wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter. 28. Tennessee Titans (3-10): The Titans were playing a struggling Jaguars team without their starting quarterback, but still could not find a way to win, losing 10-6. 29. Cleveland Browns (3-10): The Browns lost to the Steelers, 27-14, as they head into the offseason with a number of questions, starting at quarterback. This is a team that made the playoffs last season with Joe Flacco at quarterback. There is talent on the roster and this maybe a team that just needs a veteran QB that can bring leadership and a steady hand each week. 30. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-10): The Jaguars were trying to lose on Sunday, but the Titans wanted it even less and the Jags came through with a 10-6 victory. The Jags are "Tanking for Travis" and really don't want to win games to achieve the goal of drafting Travis Hunter. 31. Las Vegas Raiders (2-11): The fading Raiders lost their 9th consecutive game, this time to the Buccaneers, 28-13. The bright spot has been rookie tight end Brock Bowers, who is second in the NFL with 87 receptions for 933 yards. One can only imagine how effective Bowers would be if he had a Justin Herbert or a Joe Burrow throwing passes each week to the young stud tight end. 32. New York Giants (2-11): The Giants and the Raiders are in a fight for the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Both teams need a quarterback. Quarterback Cam Ward of Miami and quarterback Shedeur Sanders of Colorado are considered the top two quarterbacks in the upcoming NFL Draft and both will be walking into some significant challenges if either lands with the Giants or Raiders.
