Wildcats win second straight, beat LA Valley 38-21

Freshman running back Bryant Collings rushed for 194 yards and scored two touchdowns to help lead West Los Angeles College to a 38-21 non-league win over visiting Los Angeles Valley College on Saturday.

After dropping their first two games, the Wildcats have now two straight to even their overall record at 2-2.

The Wildcats did their damage on the ground, rushing for 315 yards in the game as part of 442 yards of total offense.

Collins got West LA on the board in the first quarter with a big 76-yard run for a touchdown. He also hauled in a 30-yard TD reception from Jackson Dadich in the second. Collins totaled 237 yards of offense on the day.

Marlan Wilson also had a big game for West LA. He scored twice, running in from 20 yards out for a touchdown while catching a 7-yard TD pass. Javaun Lewis added a 14-yard touchdown run to account for the Wildcats' scoring. He ran 15 times for 69 yards.

Dadich completed 8 of 18 passes for 127 yards and 2 TDs.

Brayshion Alexander led the Wildcats' defense with 10 tackles to go with 2 forced fumbles and an interception. Jason Robinson was also solid for West LA with 6 tackles and 2 sacks.

The Wildcats are back in action next Saturday (Oct. 5) when they travel to Glendale Community College for a 12 p.m. non-league game.
