The NBA announced today that LA Clippers forwards Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have been selected as reserves for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game. The 73rd NBA All-Star Game will be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Sunday, February 18th at 5 p.m. PT on TNT. 

Leonard will make his sixth career All-Star appearance (2021, 2020, 2019, 2017, 2016) and his third selection with the Clippers. George will make his ninth career All-Star appearance (2023, 2021, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2014, 2013), also his third selection with the Clippers. Leonard and George are among six players in franchise history to make at least three All-Star appearances as Clippers. This is the eighth time in franchise history that the team has had multiple All-Stars in a single season.

In his 12th NBA season, Leonard is averaging career highs in FG% (52.6) and minutes played (34.4). The 6-foot-7 forward currently ranks tied for first in the NBA in plus/minus differential (8.4), second in net rating (11.6), third in steals per game (1.7) and seventh in deflections per game (3.1). Leonard is the only player in the NBA this season to average at least 23 points, six rebounds, three assists, and one-and-a-half steals. On January 23 against the Lakers, Leonard collected his second career triple-double, tallying 25 points, 11 rebounds and a career-tying 10 assists.

A two-time Defensive Player of the Year (2016, 2015) and two-time Finals MVP (2019, 2014), Leonard holds career averages of 19.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals. The Moreno Valley, Calif. native has five All-NBA Team selections (2021, 2020, 2019, 2017, 2016), seven All-Defensive Team selections (2021, 2020, 2019, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014) and is a member of the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team.

Paul George of the Clippers was also named this month to the 2024 NBA All-Star team.

In his 14th NBA season, George is averaging career highs in 3P% (41.2) and FT% (90.9). The 6-foot-8 forward is tied for second in the NBA in offensive rating (122.9), third in total three-pointers made (148) and tied for fourth in steals per game (1.6) and net rating (11.3). George is one of two players in the NBA averaging at least 20 points while shooting at least 45% from the field, 40% from three and 90% from the free-throw line. On December 26 against Charlotte, George eclipsed 17,000 career points. George is one of seven active NBA players with at least 17,000 points, 5,000 rebounds and 3,000 assists.

George is a six-time All-NBA Team selection (2021, 2019, 2018, 2016, 2014, 2013), four-time All-Defensive Team selection (2019, 2016, 2014, 2013) and an Olympic gold medalist (2016). A native of Palmdale, Calif., George has appeared in 836 career games, holding averages of 20.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals.
