CCDU has a 60% minimum threshold for endorsing candidates, in what could be seen as a vote of no confidence in Los Angeles' current District Attorney, George Gascon. As set forth below, CCDU has voted to endorse Jeff Chemerinsky for Los Angeles County District Attorney. This is exciting for all of us, as it is the first ever endorsement made by CCDU in any race!
Jeff Chemerinsky - 73.9%
John McKinney - 10.8%
Jonathan Hatami - 6.5%
No Endorsement - 6.5%
George Gascon - 2.1%
As is the custom when a club endorses a candidate, we will be forwarding you information about how to support our endorsed candidate Jeff Chemerinsky in the March 2024 primary and, we hope, in the general election in November 2024.
The club will consider additional races for endorsement, including judicial and other local races, at our general club meeting in January 2024.
