California Assembly Majority Leader Isaac Bryan Inspires New Earth's At-Promise Youth

Represents Culver City in State Assembly

California Assembly Majority Leader Isaac Bryan toured New Earth and participated in a community conversation with New Earth Co-Founder Dr. Harry Grammer and New Earth at-promise youth.

Assemblymember Bryan shared his own challenging journey from foster care and failing grades, to earning his Masters in Public Policy from UCLA, and is the youngest Black Majority Leader in California history.

Speaking to a group of New Earth high school students, Assemblymember Bryan shared, "I tell you that whole journey because you are on your own journey, whatever stage of that you're in. And it's yours to write, and it's yours to build. Nothing that you've done up to this point is fatal, I promise. There's so much you can write, so much you can do to change the condition of your life and things you care about. The fact of whatever you've been through makes you more valuable for whatever you are going to do."

"We listened, connected, and felt the power of community in the room," said New Earth Co-Founder Dr. Harry Grammer. "We are grateful to Assemblymember Bryan for his time and unwavering dedication to service." Assemblymember Bryan represents California's 55th Assembly District, which includes Baldwin Hills, the Crenshaw district, Culver City, Ladera Heights, Mar Vista, Palms, Pico-Robertson, Beverly Grove, Mid-Wilshire, and parts of South Los Angeles.
