Police and Victim Thwart Attempted Robbery

On Sunday September 17 a man attempted an armed robbery of a parishioner at Grace Lutheran Church in Culver City located at 4427 Overland Ave. in Culver City.

The suspected robber brandished a gun at a church member in an effort to steal their cell phone and wallet.

Despite the attack, the parishioner courageously retained their belongings, raising questions about the vulnerability of sacred spaces and prompting a conversation about the need for increased safety measures.

Culver City Police Officers arrived on the scene however the suspect had already fled the scene in a gray Seda however was taken into custody by police without further incident.

In spit The Culver City Police Department has not released the suspect's name.
