Police Foil Catalytic Converter Theft

 


This morning at 5:20 am, Culver City Police Officers responded to a call for service regarding a catalytic converter theft in progress where the suspect pointed a firearm at the victim in the 3300 Block of Cattaraugus Avenue.

The suspect was described as a Male Hispanic, approximately 25 years old.

Officers met with the victim who advised them that he heard sawing noises coming from outside and noticed the suspect standing near his vehicle. The victim went outside and the suspect pointed a firearm at him, at which time the victim went inside and called CCPD. The suspect fled in a vehicle with a loud exhaust (No vehicle description).
