LeBron James and his Laker teammates will play game six in the first round of the NBA playoffs against Memphis on Friday (today) at Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles.

After winning their play-in game, the Los Angeles Lakers are ready to make some noise in this year's NBA playoffs. With their victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves last Tuesday night, the Lakers will be facing off against the second-seeded Memphis Grizzles in the first round of the playoffs.

The first game is Sunday at 12 p.m. On the road. Game 2 is also on the road at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. They return home for games 3 and 4. Game 3 is Saturday at 7 p.m. and Game 4 is Monday.

Coach Darvin Ham is very excited about his team's chances going into this first round series.

"Once you get to the end of things to have everyone healthy, to be playing the type of rhythm we're playing in and at the level we're defending at going into the most important time of the year, you can't ask for a better situation," said Ham.

Los Angeles is prepared for the challenge ahead facing off against the youthful and energetic team from Memphis. "A really good team," James said late Tuesday night about Memphis. "Very well-coached. Very well-balanced. Obviously, the head of the snake is Ja Morant. But there's another All-Star in Jaren Jackson, who was up there for defensive player of the year. His ability to block shots but also offensively, he's very dynamic as well."

"Young, scrappy, you know, obviously Ja, head of the snake. Jaren Jackson," said Davis. "I mean, they're [seeded second] for a reason. Even without Ja, they were winning basketball games. We' will do our normal scouting and prep work for them, but it's going to be a fun, interesting series."

The Lakers come into the series finishing the season strong since the trade deadline and will look to keep that success going as they try to upset the Grizzles. LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Jaren Jackson and Ja Morant all in the same series! What an exciting brand of basketball all hoop fans will be treated to and it all begins Sunday at the FedEx Forum in Memphis.
