The Lady Bruins basketball team is dancing their way into the Sweet 16 after they beat Sacramento State and Oklahoma last week at Pauley Pavilion on the UCLA campus. Now they have a date with the No. 1 team in the nation, South Carolina at 11 a.m. on Saturday. South Carolina is 34-0 and UCLA is 27-9.

UCLA women's basketball player, freshman Kiki Rice is one of the best first year college women's college player in the nation. She will try to help the Bruins beat No.1 South Carolina on Saturday at 11 a.m.

On November 29, of last year South Carolina beat the Bruins by nine points but both teams have improved since that date. UCLA appears to be ready for the challenge against one of the best women's basketball programs in the nation.

The Bruins are led by senior guard Charisma Osborne. Osborne, who is expected to be a top pick in the 2023 WNBA draft, combines speed, toughness and determination to make her one of the best college players in the nation. Other players that are playing well for the Bruins are Kiki Rice, Londynn Jones, Gina Conti, Emily Bessoir, Lina Sontag, Christeen Iwuala, Gabriela Jaquez, the sister of UCLA men's basketball best player, Jaime, and Camryn Brown. Both the UCLA women and men's teams made to the Sweet 16.
