Santa Monica Public Library Presents Stop Senior Scams

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Santa Monica Public Library presents the Stop Senior ScamsSM Acting Program on Wednesday, March 22nd from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Blvd. in the Multipurpose Room.

The Stop Senior ScamsSM Acting Program, a Los Angeles-based peer-to-peer education program founded and directed by Adrienne Omansky, raises awareness about senior fraud for older adults, their caregivers, and the community at large. Through skits, re-enactments, and explanations, their 60-minute presentation highlights the most prevalent scams that target seniors and discusses how to protect seniors from fraud. The informative and entertaining presentation includes a Q&A session with Ann Stahl, (Ret.) Senior Investigator with the Federal Trade Commission.
