Line backer Bobby wagner is no longer with the Rams

The Los Angeles Rams and linebacker Bobby Wagner have mutually agreed to part ways, the team announced today. The transaction will become official after the start of the new league year on March 15 at 4 p.m. ET.

"Bobby is an outstanding competitor and a leader that elevates everyone around him," said Rams Head Coach Sean McVay. "His perspective, steadiness, and consistency set an example for our players, coaches and staff. We are grateful for Bobby and his contributions to our organization during his time with the Rams."

Last season, Wagner started all 17 games and led the team with 140 tackles (81 solo), falling three tackles short of breaking the Rams' single-season record for tackles which was set by James Laurinaitis (142) in 2011 and 2012. Wagner also tallied nine tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, two interceptions, three pass breakups, five passes defensed, nine quarterback hits, 20 pressures and 11 hurries last season. The 11-year veteran also played snaps on special teams and blocked a field goal attempt.

At the conclusion of the 2022 season, Wagner was named the Rams' most valuable player and received the Daniel F. Reeves Memorial Award. He currently ranks ninth all-time in regular season tackles (1,523).
