Angel City FC - Club América Femenil Friendly Opens Season

BMO Stadium - Wednesday Night - March 8

Angel City FC will begin their second season by celebrating International Women's Day with Club América Femenil in an international friendly match on Wednesday, March 8, at 7:30 PM at BMO Stadium.

The match will be a SoCal homecoming for Club América players Karina Rodriguez (Torrance native, UCLA alum), Jocelyn Orejel (Fountain Valley native), Itzel González (UC San Diego alum), Scarlett Camberos (LA native, UC Irvine alum), and Kiana Palacios (Orange native, UC Irvine alum) as they take on Angel City FC in another historic NWSL vs Liga MX matchup.

ACFC defeated Tigres UANL Femenil 1-0 in their first-ever international friendly match last year at previously-named Banc of California Stadium on a second half goal by midfielder Savannah McCaskill. In their other international friendly, Angel City fell 2–0 to Mexico in the inaugural Copa Angelina after a goal by Scarlett Camberos and an own goal by ACFC before an impressive crowd of 17,000+ on a very hot Labor Day.
