Germany Kent Honored with Shero of the Year Award

LOS ANGELES

After a remarkable year of career breakthroughs and humanitarian efforts, Germany Kent is getting shown big love for her many contributions to the Los Angeles County community, and beyond.

The hall of fame media communications professional, renowned celebrity host, producer, entrepreneur, and activist was recently honored as the “Shero of the Year” by Two-Lifestyles, Inc. Women’s Empowerment.

The award is given to a member of the Los Angeles-area community who has given her time and talent to Two-Lifestyles Inc., the local community she serves and beyond the state of California.

An active civic and community leader, Kent has volunteered with multiple nonprofits and assisted with various functions, including providing volunteer efforts, media opportunities and mentorship to youth.

“With passion, grit, talent and tenacity, Germany has been lifting up others and is an amazing Shero,” said La Toyia Conway-Hampton, CEO and Founder of Two-Lifestyles, Inc. Women’s Empowerment. “She is making our county, our country and our world a better place. Germany leads by example, and is relentless in her service to non-profit organizations, and dedicated humanitarian efforts reaching back to help others.” Kent is a national award-winning journalist and is also nationally recognized as a leading advocate in improving internet etiquette speaking out against cyberbullying across America.

In 2022, Kent worked as the Chief Media and Marketing Officer for Najah Roberts and Crypto Blockchain Inc. based in Inglewood. In that position Kent secured celebrity endorsements and managed local and national press. Kent also worked on publicity for The Black Wall Street, a joint venture Roberts created with acclaimed New York Times bestselling author Hill Harper.

In 2022, Kent also managed content curation and publicity for the radio program Ahead of The Crypto Curve, which airs daily on Tavis Smiley’s KBLA 1580 talk radio station broadcasting live from Leimert Park. Kent also directs publicity and publication as a media owner and publisher for Star Stone Press, an award-winning agency.

Kent’s platform as a social media influencer expert and trusted media pundit has garnered features in media outlets including Forbes, Inc., Fast Company, The Dallas Morning News, Parade, Reader’s Digest, Bloomberg Business, and HuffPost, to name a few.

A well-known philanthropist and tenacious force for change, Kent has been a staunch defender and advocate of human rights and is the recipient of numerous national and international awards for her humanitarian work and literacy efforts.

In October 2022, Kent was selected as an ambassador for Solombra Ingram’s LA-based nonprofit I’m Every Woman (IEW) for a missionary trip to Eleuthera, Bahamas. Through combined efforts with The Los Angeles-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) and The Links International Inglewood Chapter, Kent served as the official media correspondent to document survival stories and champion women’s empowerment.

Kent sits on the board for Los Angeles based Women of Prominence, providing resources to train women and girls in public speaking, life skills, and etiquette. In 2022, Kent was selected to the Board of Directors for All Cops Ain’t Bad, a national nonprofit organization that aims to develop trust and strengthen police and community partnerships.

In addition to being honored by Two Lifestyle’s Inc., Kent also received recognition from United States Senator Alex Padilla, California Senator Ben Allen, California Assembly member Al Murtsuchi and California Congressman Ted Lieu.

United States Senator Dianne Feinstein commended Kent on the honor saying, “Your commitment to ensuring the health and welfare of those in need is truly an inspiration to us all.”

California Senator Steven Bradford presented Kent with a proclamation “in recognition of her leadership and dedication to the community.” The Senator stated, “I commend you for your amazing work in empowering the underserved and organizing events that serve to enrich those less fortunate.”

She has been named by The Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the Powerful Women Making A Difference in Los Angeles.

You are definitely an unsung hero that has created a legacy and made the world a better place, stated Senator Bradford.

I’m inspired by the work that she and her team are doing advocating for social change, social service and social justice,” said Kent. This accomplishment is a significant milestone in my life. It’s so humbling.

Among Kent’s other achievements is being a critically acclaimed author with registered copyrights with The U.S. Library of Congress. Kent went to college at the University of Southern California, Mississippi State University and the University of Alabama.
