Celebrate the new year with a classical concert at the Walt Disney Concert Hall

Salute to Vienna new year’s concert is returning to Los Angeles to ring in 2023 in grand style on Monday, January 2 at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

For more than two decades, this annual production has delighted audiences across the U.S. and Canada with glorious music, dance, and elegant costumes.

After a pandemic hiatus, this festive concert returns to usher in the new year.

Inspired by the annual Viennese new year’s concert tradition (Neujarhrskonzert), Salute to Vienna is a delightful celebration featuring music by Johann Strauss and his contemporaries, and performed by singers, dancers, and a full orchestra.

“We are so pleased to be able to return this remarkable production to nine U.S. cities this year,” said producer Attila Glatz. “It brings us such joy to see how these performances can uplift and inspire audiences, and we hope that families of all ages will be able to enjoy ringing in the new year in such an iconic space as Walt Disney Concert Hall.”

Viennese conductor Nir Kabaretti leads the Strauss Symphony of America, British soprano Juliet Petrus, Mexican tenor Jorge Garza, champion ballroom dancers, and members of the San Diego Ballet in an enchanting and cheerful musical journey filled with heart and humor. There will be merry and lighthearted waltzes, polkas, and songs from comic operetta.

Salute to Vienna was recreated at Vienna’s Konzerthaus for PBS featuring more than 130 performers, and this concert has aired across North America on public television more than 2,000 times.

Attila Glatz Concert Productions produces, promotes, and manages classical, jazz, folk, country, movie, and video game music performances worldwide.
