Two NFL teams headed in the wrong direction will meet at SoFi Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m. The 2-3 Los Angeles Rams and the 1-4 Carolina Panthers will battle to see which team can get back on the winning track. Panther management was so upset with their teams’ performances that they fired the head coach last week.

The defending Super Bowl Champion Rams are not even close to making a coaching change but the way they have played the last few weeks a lot of people are wondering what’s happening to the champions. “This is some adversity we are facing right now as a football team,” said Rams head coach Sean McVay after their loss to the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday at SoFi Stadium. “I will continue to stand up here and do the best that I can for this football team. It’s not enough right now. We need to get everybody competing to the best of their ability.”

The team is hurting in several different areas but according to McVay they will keep fighting. The main problem right now is their offensive line. They are having trouble running the ball and protecting quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford said this about the offensive line. “Everybody in this league is going through something. It’s always a challenge to have new guys in new spots. We have to do a better job of execution. I have a lot of trust in those guys in the locker room.”

Coach McVay also has a lot of trust in Stafford. “We have to be able to run the ball efficiently. I love Matthew Stafford. He is doing everything in his power to compete for this team, but he needs help. We have to find a way to get to 3-3. That’s all we can do. The game takes 11 players. It’s not a good movie. It’s been two weeks in a role that we have been having problems, but I am excited about the challenge.”
