The Santa Monica College (SMC)
Music Department will present the
SMC Voice Showcase, a concert featuring
a selection of talented SMC
voice students performing in different
genres. The concert will be held Sunday,
October 23, at 2 p.m. in The Edye
at the SMC Performing Arts Center,
1310 11th Street (at Santa Monica
Boulevard), Santa Monica.
Under the direction of SMC Opera
Theatre director Janelle DeStefano
and SMC Choirs conductor Jeremiah
Selvey, the students will sing a selection
of classical, jazz, musical theater,
and contemporary commercial songs.
Tickets are $10 for general admission
(a modest service charge aapplies).
Advance tickets may be purchased
online at smc.edu/tickets or by
calling 310-434-3005 (Monday-Friday;
limited hours). Tickets may also be
purchased - starting 45 minutes before
the performance begins - at The
Broad Stage Box Office at the SMC
Performing Arts Center. Free parking
on premises. Seating is strictly on a
first-arrival basis.
