1. Philadelphia Eagles (5-0): The Eagles remained undefeated after hanging on for a 20-17 win over the Cardinals. The Eagles jumped to a 14-0 second quarter lead over the Cardinals and then did what other teams have done with the Cardinals; they took their foot off the gas. 2. Buffalo Bills (4-1): In their rout of the Steelers, the Bills showed the Steelers and the NFL early in the game what they are capable of. On the third offensive play of the game, Bills quarterback Josh Allen connected with wide receiver Gabriel Davis for a 98-yard touchdown pass. 5. Minnesota Vikings (4-1): The Viking are 4-1 and in first place in the NFC North after coming from behind to defeat the Bears. The Vikings are not impressive, but they keep on winning. 6. Green Bay Packers (3-2): Quarterback Aaron Rodgers still trusts his old friends. Wide receiver Randall Cobb, in his 12th NFL season, caught 7 passes for 99 yards in the loss to the Giants. 7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2): The Bucs ended their two-game losing streak with a 21-15 victory over the Falcons. 8. Baltimore Ravens (3-2): The Ravens are fortunate to have the best kicker in the history of the NFL. On Sunday Night, kicker Justin Tucker made a game winning field goal of 43 yards as the Ravens defeated the Bengals, 19-17. Tucker is 17 for 17 in his career on attempts in the final minute of regulation. Tucker was 4 for 4 on field goal attempts in the game, including a 58-yard field goal. 10. New York Giants (4-1): The Giants are 4-1 after defeating the Packers in London. The Giants are 31st in passing yardage per game, ahead of only the Bears. Los Angeles Chargers (3-2): Running back Austin Ekeler rushed for a career-high 173 yards and a touchdown and former UCLA star Josh Kelly chipped in with 49 yards and a touchdown as the Chargers ran through the Browns, 30-28. 12. Miami Dolphins (3-2): The Dolphins went into the Jets game without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and lost backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in the first quarter to a concussion. Then there is the Rams. The Rams have played three good defensive teams this season and lost all three games, scoring a total of 29 points in the three losses. 18. Denver Broncos (2-3): The Broncos are allowing just 16 points per game, which is the 3rd best in the NFL. 19. Cincinnati Bengals (2-3): The Super Bowl loss hangover continues for the Bengals. The offensive line is not performing well. Quarterback Joe Burrow has been sacked 19 times in five games and hit 37 times in five games, a pace that will eventually put him on the injured reserve. 20. Atlanta Falcons (2-3): Every game the Falcons have been involved in this season has been decided by six points or less. 21. New Orleans Saints (2-3): Taysom Hill, who serves as a backup tight end and a backup quarterback on the Saints, was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 5. Hill rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns and completed a 22-yard touchdown pass to fellow tight end Adam Trautman. 22. Arizona Cardinals (2-3): The Cardinals have trailed at halftime in all five games this season. 23. Seattle Seahawks (2-3): Quarterback Geno Smith is leading the NFL in passer rating after the first five weeks of the season. The Seahawks received two first-round picks, two second-round picks, a fifth-round pick, quarterback Drew Lock, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, and tight end Noah Fant in the trade. 32. Carolina Panthers (1-4): Head coach Matt Rhule was fired on Monday after another loss. Rhule is a good football coach, he has had success as a head coach at the college level and it should be an easy transition for him back to college football.
