What's New Pussycat? Well, its Tom Jones at the Youtube Theater for the Surrounded by Time tour

The Tom Jones: Surrounded By Time concert tour landed at YouTube Theater and was received very well by all of his adoring fans. One of the stops on his special 20-city USA tour.

It was 'not unusual' that the legendary Welsh singer was thoroughly entertaining. At 82 years young, his distinctive, robust, golden baritone voice was in good form.

Sir Tom sang some songs from his most recent album, "Surrounded by Time" (April 2021). Not surprising since musical artists usually like to tour to promote their new albums.

The album reached No. 1 in the UK which made Jones excited to alert the audience that he now holds the record for the oldest male singer to ever have an album chart at No. 1 there.

But he didn't stop there. Of course he treated his fans to all of his greatest hits and a gaggle of other songs that he sings so well.

He covered Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Cat Stevens, Prince, and even a song made famous by Dusty Springfield. Jones is a master at knowing what songs to perform in concert. The songs that his fans will love.

His five-piece band was cast very well. They had great chemistry together with Jones.

Jones also had some interesting anecdotes. He talked about an experience he had with Elvis in Vegas. They both attended a Chuck Berry concert together. Elvis told Jones that he thought Berry was the real king of rock and roll.

But it was Jones' big hits that were the show-stoppers.

From his first big hit, "It's Not Unusual (1965)," to Burt Bacharach's "What's New Pussycat?," and "Delilah," where he got to again showcase his powerful voice, he proved to the audience that he's still got what it takes.
