Culver City police arrested two suspects last week, shortly after they allegedly stole a catalytic converter near the intersection of Jefferson Boulevard and Cota Street.

The arrest occurred a few minutes after midnight on September 14, according to Culver City Police Department.

Residents reported the theft to CCPD and provided information about the suspect’s vehicle and the direction of travel, police said.

“An officer was patrolling the area and located the suspect vehicle near Overland Avenue and Sawtelle Boulevard and conducted a traffic stop,” CCPD said in a Facebook post.

“CCPD officers contacted the subjects who admitted to stealing the catalytic converter,” police added.

The suspects were transported to the local jail and booked on theft charges without incident, CCPD said.
