The Los Angeles Rams have announced today that Tackle ROB HAVENSTEIN has signed a three-year contract extension.
Havenstein was selected by the Rams in the second round (57th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft and has started all 109 games that he has played in a Rams uniform, including 99 regular season contests and 10 postseason games.
His 6,178 snaps played rank 28th for all offensive players and 20th for offensive linemen in the NFL since 2015. Since entering the NFL, Havenstein is ranked seventh in sacks allowed, eighth in pressures allowed, and 11th in hurries allowed.
In 2021, Havenstein helped anchor an offensive line that tied for sixth in the NFL for least sacks allowed (31), seventh in quarterback sack rate (4.9%), and led the league in the least amount of sack yards allowed through the first seven games of the season. With Havenstein anchoring the right side of the offensive line unit, the Rams finished the 2021 season ranked third in pressures allowed per dropback (26.8%) and first in time to pressure allowed on offense (2.67 seconds) en route to the team’s Super Bowl LVI victory.
The first-year team captain in 2022 has played 900 or more regular season snaps four times in his eight-year career and recorded more than 1,000 snaps in two seasons. This extension marks the second contract extension Havenstein has signed with the Rams. He signed a four-year, $32.5 million extension in 2018.
