September 1, 2022
The USC Trojans and the UCLA Bruins will play their home openers on Saturday. The Bruins will play Bowling Green at 11 a.m. at the Rose Bowl and the Trojans will face Rice at the Coliseum at 3 p.m. Both teams are led by their athletic quarterbacks.
The quarterback at USC is Caleb Williams and the signal caller at UCLA is Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Both teams should be better than they were last year after they both added several players through the transfer system.
USC will rely on key receivers Jordan Addison and Gary Bryant Jr. Catching most of the passes for UCLA will be Jake Bobo and Kazmeir Allen. UCLA's defense will be led by defensive back Stephan Blaylock and USC's defense will be led by linebacker Shane Lee
