July 11th, Day Watch Officers of the Culver City Police Department conducted a traffic stop for several hazardous moving violations in the area of Sepulveda Blvd and Green Valley Circle. The officers contacted the driver and his two passengers. During their investigation, the driver admitted to possessing a firearm. A search of the vehicle was conducted and a loaded Ruger handgun with an extended magazine, containing 21 live rounds was recovered. Additionally, the firearm was unregistered.

The driver, who had a previous felony conviction was arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
