Palmdale Woman Killed in Culver City Crash

A 23-year-old Palmdale woman was killed, and another person was injured in a violent two-car crash last Saturday in Culver City.
The deadly crash occurred on June 18 around 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of La Cienega Boulevard and Wrightcrest Drive, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The woman was driving a white sedan south on La Cienega when she rear-ended a second vehicle. Her sedan went off the road and slammed into a light pole, splitting the vehicle in half, said LAPD in a statement.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She’s been identified only as a 23-year-old resident of Palmdale.
The driver of the second vehicle was trapped inside and extricated from the car by emergency crews, police said.
The crash is under investigation by police detectives who will determine if drugs, alcohol or speed were factors in the crash, LAPD said.
