Dodgers hit the road after winning five games in a row

Alex Vesia of the Dodgers sits alone in the dugout at Dodger Stadium last Friday after giving up three runs to the Phillies. Vesia and the rest of the Dodger pitchers hope to be at their best on their current road trip.
After losing several games in a row the Dodgers turned it around last Sunday and started a five-game winning streak. They beat Arizona Diamondbacks 5-3 last Wednesday behind a three-run home run by Justin Turner and now they hope to keep the momentum going when they start a 10-game road trip on Friday. They currently have a record of 25-12.
They are in first place just ahead of the San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants in the National League West. They will start their road trip against the Phillies on Friday. After playing a three-game series against Philadelphia they will travel to Washington to play the Nationals for a three-game series, and they return to the West Coast to take on the Diamondbacks for a four-game series.
Their next home games will be against the Pirates, May 30, May 31 and June 1. On June 2, June 3, June 4, and June 5 they will face the first place Mets.
