The Culver City Historical Society Museum in the Veterans Memorial Building announced it has re-opened after 1 1/2 years of pandemic closure. It has been newly re-decorated and offers more exhibits, a new visitor video display and a gift shop with all kinds of merchandise.

Here are artifacts, records and exhibits found nowhere else, showing the huge history of classic films made in this little town that was home to MGM, RKO, Columbia, Selznick and Hal Roach movie studios. It's a film lover's "must see"

destination in the town where classics like King Kong, Citizen Kane, ET, and Gone With The Wind were made.

The museum features exhibits on Laurel and Hardy, Our Gang, the Keystone Cops and other movie icons that worked in Culver City. Historic MGM costumes are on display, along with artifacts from racetracks (auto, dog and bicycle) that used to exist here; as well as hundreds of other exhibits detailing the curious history of Culver City, "The Heart of Screenland."
