Culver City police have arrested a 22-year-old man who allegedly robbed another man at gunpoint in the local mall’s parking structure last week.
Mathew Loera who has an extensive arrest history was arrested on March 17 on robbery charges, according to the Culver City Police Department. He was identified as one of two suspects in the March 13 armed robbery on the fourth level parking structure of Westfield Culver City.
“During the robbery, the victim was robbed at gunpoint by two suspects and had over $3600 in jewelry taken from him,” including two gold chain necklaces, a Rolex ring and a gold chain bracelet, said CCPD.
Loera was found at the same mall last week Thursday morning and taken into custody without incident, said police. He was transported and booked on robbery charges at the Culver City Jail.
This case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration and this investigation is ongoing, said police.
Anyone with any information about this incident is urged to contact the Culver City Police Sergeant Eddie Baskaron at 310-253-6316.
