Culver City Arts Foundation Seeks New Board and Advisory Committee Members

The Culver City Arts Foundation (Culver Arts), which supports the arts in Culver City through its mission to preserve the past, enrich the present and create the future of arts and culture in the community, announced today that it is seeking to fill vacancies on its Board and Advisory Committee.
With a major focus the past two years to alleviate the effects of the pandemic on our creative community, a few of the programs that Culver Arts supports include the City’s Performing Arts Grant program; the City’s Artist Laureate program and “Love My Neighbor” project; co-sponsor of the yearlong Projecting Possibilities project that financially supported over 52 local artists by illuminating their work each week at the Helms Design Center; and funder of over $20,000 in microgrants to local artists through the Arts Resiliency Fund to assist them in meeting their financial obligations.
Culver Arts members actively engage in the growth of the local creative economy, support new and existing art programs, and further the impact of the arts in Culver City. Applicants interested in joining the non-profit, working board or advisory committee can send their resume, CV or relevant work with a cover letter to Board Chairperson Jim
B. Clarke at culverarts@gmail.com. Being an artist is not a prerequisite to become involved and members come from a wide range of specialties, including finance, communications, and development, among others. Positions are expected to be filled in February.
