The clarification that I am respectfully requesting concerns a reference to the Santa Monica Fire Department in the “Gangs Run Pier Food Carts’ article. The article indicates that “they won’t show up …”. Please note that members of the Santa Monica Fire Department are at the pier almost every weekend working in tandem with our police and code enforcement staff. Interim Chief Knabe has also been there pretty consistently on the weekends as well so the statement that they are not showing up, is completely false.

I would appreciate an update or retraction to that statement.
