Culver City police are looking for a man who pulled out a large knife and robbed a local business on Monday afternoon.
The armed robbery occurred around 2:30 p.m. at a business located on the 4300 Block of Sepulveda Blvd., Culver City Police Department said in a press release.
“The female victim was working at the front desk when the suspect entered and demanded money while brandishing a knife,” police said. “The victim gave the suspect the money inside of the cash register but the suspect demanded more and the victim explained that there was no more money.”
When the female attempted to flee, “she felt a sharp object hit her lower back as she ran away,” police said. “The suspect also fled the business on foot and was last seen running south on Sepulveda Blvd.”
The victim sustained minor injuries to her back and received medical treatment at the scene. Her injuries were non-life threatening and is expected to make a full recovery, police said.
The suspect is described by police a white male, approximately 40 years old, 5’8”, wearing red/white hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, gray shoes, glasses and a face mask.
