The City Council voted this week to appoint Heather Baker as the next Culver City Attorney. She will replace Carol Schwab who announced in July she was leaving her post at the end of the year.
Baker, who currently serves Assistant City Attorney, will take over the position December 22.
She will lead the legal department with a $4.4 million budget.
A graduate of University of California at Santa Barbara, Baker received her law degree from
Western State University College of Law. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1997.
In her new post, she will be paid an annual salary of $264,509.
