The UCLA Bruins will travel north to take on an improving Stanford team at 3

p.m. and the USC Trojans will host a 2-1 Oregon State team at the Coliseum at

7:30 p.m. Both games will be played on Saturday. Every game in conference play

is important and this weekend is no different. Stanford and Oregon State are 2-1.

The Bruins need to prove that their 2-0 start of the season was no fluke

because they lost to Fresno State last Saturday night in a thrilling game at the

Rose Bowl and the Trojans hope to ride the wave on an emotional victory on the

road against Washington State last Saturday. Both teams are 2-1.

The Bruins will need to play better defense especially in the secondary if they

expect to beat the Cardinal. They gave up over 400 yards to Fresno State behind

the quarterback play of Jake Haener. Stanford's quarterback, Tanner McKee may

be better than Haener. The 6'6, 225-pound signal caller has been on a row since

taking the starting position midway threw their first game of the season.

The Bruins will need to get their running game going in Palo Alto. Fresno

stopped the Bruins running backs, Zach Charbonnet and Brittain Brown and

forced quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson to beat them.

UCLA quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson hopes to lead the Bruins over the Cardinal Saturday.

The Trojans hope to continue their winning ways under new head coach, Donte

Williams. Williams took over for the fired Clay Helton and won his first game,

beating Washington State on the road. The former Culver City High School player

and graduate had the Trojans playing with emotion and purpose.

Former Culver City high star, Emari Pait, now a defensive player for Fresno

State saw action on special teams against UCLA. Pait was an All-State wide

receiver at Culver City last season and he also played safety on defense.
