A Dose Of Laughter

HOLLIBLU Nurses Gala Brings The Stars And The Big Laughs. Big Hearted Comedians Donate Their Time For Nurses Charity.

By Christine Peake

The HOLLIBLU " A Dose Of Laughter Gala' was a star studded night at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, where the jokes just kept on coming! The gala was to celebrate HOLLIBLU, an App to support the nursing community which was created by trailblazer (and nurse) Cara Lunsford, who works tirelessly with her dedicated team to provide help to healthcare workers.

The line up was stellar, host/comedian Christine Peake (also Produced the show through her PR firm peakPRgroup) danced her way onstage and roasted the nurses in the audience.

Peake then introduced Curb Your Enthusiasm star Cheryl Hines, who shared her personal HOLLIBLU story before introducing Cara Lunsford, the Founder/CEO of the amazing HOLLIBLU network.

Then it was showtime!

Jessica Winther took the stage looking fabulous in her white linen suit, and had the audience laughing at her recent personal dating weekend as she wonders "What's Happening" with her 818 Housewife lifestyle.

Next up was Greg Baldwin, one of the best and sincere comedic storytellers on the comedy circuit and also founded the critically acclaimed 'Second Chances' Podcast.

Next up was SNL star Darrell Hammond, who is by far the coolest man in comedy, his effortless delivery had the audience in stitches.

Things then got politically incorrectly funny as John Di Domenico (star of Fox TV 'Let's Be Real') blew the audience away as Donald Trump and was joined at the end of his hysterically dead-on clever set by comedian Eugenia Kuzmina who performed a perfect impersonation of Melania!

Willie Macc was up next with his unique, chill style and dead pan delivery. Macc captivates the audience effortlessly as though he were strolling in a park!

Macc was followed by the always energetic and hilarious Jimmy Shin (star of Jimmy Shin's Wok Of Fame on Amazon) - His contagious energy kept the audience on their toes for the brilliant Max Amini who closed the two hour show. And close he did! International comedian Max Amini took time from his sold out world tour to support the gala with comedic brilliance and expertise. His jokes were spot on as always and his crowd work was brilliant, no comedian has the quick reflex Amini has as he improvised one liners to the willing audience participants.

Cara Lunsford and her HOLLIBLU team took it in their stride as the supportive comedians made kindhearted fun of the many nurses who attended this special gala.

A smiling Lunsford said after the event, "Wow, we did it, I just want to thank my supportive wife Dawn, my amazing HOLLIBLU team, who are the hardest workers I know, and a huge thanks to all our sponsors and friends!"

Event title sponsor included title sponsors Alpine Door And Trim and BlackoutLA. Plus table sponsors Jack & Tanya Black, Wilshire Smile Studio, Heal At Home Nursing, Nurse Leader Network, VIVA XXXll tequila, n:Philanthropy and Jonathan and Nancy Glaser.

Lunsford added, "And of course we want to thank our partners in this venture, our wonderful comedians who donated their time for HOLLIBLU. Thank you to all our volunteers and The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel for our location and Max Soto for his support and to PeakPRgroup for an idea that we realized together as partners in one month! The nurses had a wonderful time, that was the goal, to give back to the nursing community who give their lives to others. We are already planning the next one!"
