Crowds on the Santa Monica Pier which has re-opened fully. Many visitors to the Pier park in City Owned parking. Where will they park after the City demolishes downtown parking to build high density housing?

After hearing a brief history of the long journey to demolish Parking Structure 3 in downtown Santa Monica, the city council voted 4-0-2 to demolish the structure and replace it with affordable housing.
Phil Brock and Oscar de la Torre abstained. Lana Negrete, just appointed to the council last week, was out of town at a conference and did not attend the meeting.
The demolition will not take place until December 31, 2021 at the earliest and will take an estimated six months to complete. No plan has been approved, or even submitted, regarding the propos...
