CC Council Gives Approval for 'The Jeff' Hotel in Sunkist Park

 


The proposed boutique hotel development at the northeast corner of Jefferson Boulevard and Slauson Avenue has cleared its final hurdle.

The Culver City Council this week affirmed the Planning Commission’s decision to greet light the hotel -- called “the Jeff – at 11469 Jefferson Blvd., denying late-hour appeals from local groups in regard to environmental impact.

On April 28, the Planning Commission approved a conditional use permit, site plan review and an administrative use permit for the hotel development in Sunkist Park, originally proposed in 2018.

Replacing the currently occupied strip mall, the new hotel will consist of five-story building featuring 175 guest rooms, amenities, and restaurant space above a two-level subterranean garage.

The project will be developed by Sandstone Properties, which behind The Albany, a 37-story hotel tower planned near the Los Angeles Convention Center.
