Hunter Biden Leaves Venice

Hunter Biden appears to have moved out of the luxury $5.4million home he was renting in Venice Beach.

The son of President Joe Biden was reportedly paying $25,000 a month to rent the three-story property on the Venice canals - just a block away from the beach.

But on Monday, DailyMail.com spotted a moving truck outside the palatial home with furniture being loaded into it. Father-of-five Hunter, 51, moved into the stylish property with wife Melissa and their son Beau at the end of 2020.

Residents in Venice Beach have complained of an increase of crime as homelessness in the area has risen during the pandemic.

10% of LA Residents Plan to Leave

Los Angeles residents are less satisfied with their quality of life compared to people throughout California and the U.S., but perceive less crime, vandalism, and drug and alcohol use in their neighborhoods than two years ago, according to the second annual USC Dornsife-Union Bank LABarometer livability survey, released Wednesday.

According to the study, on a scale of one to seven, where one denotes low life satisfaction and seven denotes high life satisfaction, the average life satisfaction in L.A. County is 4.3, nearly unchanged from 2019. But it's almost half a point lower than the U.S. and California average of 4.7 -- double the gap observed in 2019.

Also, 10% of Angelenos plan to leave L.A. County in the next year, a 40% increase from 2019. In 2019, 7% of L.A. County residents said they planned to leave Los Angeles and 16% said they planned to move to new housing somewhere else in the county.

The new findings reveal that 10% of Angelenos now plan to move away from L.A. County while 14% plan to find new housing in the county.

Memorial Day Earthquake

May 31, 2021 - A 3.0 earthquake gently rocked Santa Monica early in the morning of Memorial Day. The epicenter was located 11 kilometers south of Santa Monica, directly south of Pepperdine University and in the middle of Santa Monica Bay. The depth was 10.1 kilometers, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The exact location of the epicenter was 33.931N 118.697W.

The earthquake was the fourth of a series of small, early Memorial Day earthquakes in California

Around midnight of the same morning, a 2.7 earthquake rolled through Anaheim at a depth of 4.3 kilometers.

Then, at 2 am, a 3.4 earthquake hit west southwest of Toms Place, a location almost directly north of Malibu at the California/Nevada border.

At 3:57 am, a 2.8 earthquake hit an area roughly ten miles east of the Toms Place quake, in Meadow Creek.
