CC Police Seeking Suspects Who Shot Up Windows of Washington Blvd. Businesses

Culver City police detectives are seeking public assistance in identifying the suspects involved in a string of vandalism along Washington Boulevard.

Over the past month, the suspects, using a BB or pellet guns, shot up windows and doors of many Culver City businesses, local police said in a press release. The suspects were driving a dark-colored 2005-2012 Range Rover Sport.

The Culver City Police Department has released surveillance videos (https://youtu.be/0MCyENNSpS8) from businesses that captured the suspects' car.

On April 12, CCPD officers responded to two calls of vandalism in the 11900 block of Washington Blvd. regarding two businesses with shattered front windows. In the early morning of April 13, local officers discovered three additional businesses with damaged windows along the 12900-13100 blocks of Washington Blvd, authorities said.

In the early hours of May 20, CCPD responded to a business with a shattered front window in the 12700 block of Washington Blvd, according to the press release. On the same evening, two additional businesses on the 11900 and 13300 blocks of Washington Blvd. reported their street-facing windows had been shattered by apparent BB pellets.

CCPD detectives obtained video footage of the suspect vehicle along Washington Boulevard at the time of these most recent acts of vandalism. Police officials believe all of these acts of vandalism caused over $10,000 in damage to Culver City businesses.

Anyone with information related to these crimes is asked to contact the Culver City Police Department Public Information Officer, Assistant Chief Jason Sims at (310)253-6391 or the Watch Commander at (310)253-6202 and reference Report #21-0002008.
