Sister City Committee to Celebrate 56 Years of Friendship Between Culver City and Kaizuka

The Culver City Sister City Committee invites all Culver City residents to spend ninety minutes celebrating the 56th anniversary of our city’s twinning with Kaizuka, Japan on Thursday, May 27 at 6:00 p.m. Kaizuka was the second of Culver City’s five Sister Cities, and people in both cities will be meeting via Zoom to share photographs and memories of exchanges, meet local dignitaries and learn about the history of our relationship. The theme of the celebration will be Spring Renewal, a statement of hope for the future of the world and our relationship with Kaizuka, and colorful scenes of springtime in both Culver City and Kaizuka will be featured throughout the program. A special videotaped message from the Los Angeles Consul General of Japan will also be shown.

For those who really want to get into the moment, traditional Japanese attire is welcome during the presentation, as is basic All-American dress. At the conclusion of the program, participants will raise a glass of their favorite Japanese or American beverage and toast to fifty-six years of a warm and wonderful friendship.

If you would like to participate in this memorable, free of charge gathering, please contact marenneufeldccscc@gmail.com to get the Zoom link or visit our website at http://www.culvercitysistercitycommittee.org.
