Culver City has announced that in-person city services at City Hall are now offered on a limited, appointment-only basis.
City services will also continue to be available online, through email and telephone. The public is urged to make appointments for the following city services:
Building Safety -- general assistance with plumbing, electrical, building and mechanical permits, making payments and picking up issued permits;
City Clerk – pick-up services to retrieve documents;
Planning -- zoning information, accessory dwelling units, application submissions and viewing copies of permit records and files;
Engineering -- permits and service with private development, street construction and construction in the public right-of-way;
Finance -- refuse, business license payments, applications and renewals;
Fire -- fire prevention services, ambulance transport patient and EMS record retrieval customer service;
Housing and Homelessness Services -- Section 8, rent control and tenant protection programs, rent registration and housing quality Inspections;
Transportation/Culver City Bus -- TAP card renewal and lost & found.
City officials said all City Hall visitors will have to adhere to COVID-19 safety measures. "They will need to undergo a city staff-administered health screening, consisting of a health questionnaire and a temperature check," city officials said in a press release.
In addition, all persons entering city facilities are required to wear face coverings and maintain physical distancing. "To reduce the spread of COVID-19, we encourage you to continue to access city services online as much as possible," officials said.
