The three-time WNBA champion Los Angeles Sparks announced today the two-game preseason schedule for the 2021 WNBA season, a home-and-home with the Las Vegas Aces.

LA will first travel to Las Vegas on May 2 and play the Aces in a scrimmage at 12 p.m. PT at Michelob Ultra Arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The event will be closed to fans and media.

The Sparks will then host the Aces on May 8 at 1 p.m. PT at the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC). This matchup will be an official preseason game and open to media. More details will be provided on limited media credentialing. Although WNBA preseason games are not televised, the Sparks will still have zoom media availabilities throughout training camp and during preseason games.

The Sparks will not have fans in attendance on May 8 or at the Home Opener on May 14. The Sparks will welcome back fans starting on June 3 against the Indiana Fever at 7:30 p.m. PT at LACC and have fans in attendance throughout the remainder of the 2021 season.

The Sparks return to Staples Center after the Olympic break on Sunday, Aug. 15 against the Indiana Fever at 6 p.m. PT.

Founded in 1996, the Los Angeles Sparks are one of three original franchises in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Sparks have won three WNBA Championships (2001, 2002, 2016), have qualified for the playoffs in 20 of their 24 seasons and remain the only active team in the league to win back-to-back titles. The Los Angeles Sparks are dedicated to ensuring each home game at Staples Center has a championship level entertainment experience while showcasing the best female athletes from around the world on the court.
