New Target Opens at Broadway

The new City Target Store on 5th and Broadway replaces retailer Fred Segal.
Some people pronounce the discount retailer as Tar-jay, as if it were French. But it any case, it's coming. A new Target store has opened in place of the Fred Segal store on 5th Street and Broadway, in Downtown Santa Monica.
The Target City store will offer an abbreviated version of the chains retail offerings, such as pharmaceuticals and clothing. It will join a newly opened Target at 16thStreet and Wilshire Blvd. Another Target on the Westside is on Santa Monica Blvd, in West Los Angeles.
"Target Stores are a national retail chain offering home goods, clothing, electronics and more, plus exclusive designer collections," says the companies website.
Target plans to open several other LA County locations this year. It will add several stores in 2021, including Ventura Boulevard in Encino, Hollywood and in Echo Park.
