Culver City police have arrested a juvenile from Los Angeles who allegedly committed two separate crimes in Fox Hills, authorities announced this week.

"It is believed the juvenile is responsible for at least 10 armed robberies throughout the local area," said the Culver City Police Department in a press release. The 17-year-old male was taken into custody on March 5 and his case has been filed with the Inglewood Juvenile Court.

Police officials said the juvenile was allegedly involved in an armed robbery that occurred on February 14 at 6251 Bristol Parkway. The victim and his wife were seated outside a Fox Hills restaurant when they were robbed at gunpoint. The suspects then fled the location with the victim's property.

On March 01, an attempted robbery occurred in the parking lot of the Fox Hills Mall, 6000 Sepulveda Blvd. The victim, a 73-year-old female, was attacked as she walked to her vehicle. "During the attack, the victim was struck several times by the suspects while they demanded the victim's property," police said. "They were unable to obtain any of the victim's property and fled in a silver BMW."

Culver City Police detectives, in conjunction with detectives from LAPD Pacific and Wilshire Divisions, were able to identify the suspect from both Fox Hills crimes as a 17-year-old male from Los Angeles and arrested him.
