Culver City Police Seize 82 Lbs. of Meth, Weapons During Traffic Stop in Fox Hills

Methamphetamine and weapons were seized during a traffic stop. When the suspects hotel room was searched, even more drugs were found, totaling more than 80 pounds

Culver City police has seized 82 lbs. of Methamphetamine and loaded weapons during a traffic stop in Fox Hills, authorities announced on Tuesday.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on March 9, police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Slauson Avenue and Buckingham Parkway. After contacting the two occupants, officers developed cause to search the vehicle, the Culver City Police Department said in a press release.

Inside the vehicle, the officers found 1 loaded and illegally possessed assault rifle, 2 loaded handguns and approximately 21 lbs. of Methamphetamine, CCPD said.

The two occupants in the car were placed under arrest on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance while armed. Officers then obtained a search warrant and proceeded to search the hotel room of the suspects who were staying at Hilton Los Angeles Culver City, located at 6161 W. Centinela Ave. The search yielded an additional 61 lbs. of Methamphetamine, CCPD said.


The names of the two suspects have not been released by the police department.
