December 31, 2020

CLIPPERS

The Clippers are hoping to get their star play Kawhi Leonard back from the injured list. He recovering from a mouth injury that required a eight stitches. The injury happened on Christmas Day.

The Rams have come to that fork in the road. If they beat Arizona on Sunday or

if the Chicago Bears loose to the Green Bay Packers the Rams are in the playoffs

as a wild card team. If they lose and Chicago wins, they are out. The game against

Arizona will start at 1:25 p.m. at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.

The Rams will have to win the game without starting quarterback Jared Goff.

He will miss the game after breaking his thumb against the Seattle Seahawks last

Sunday during their 20-9 defeat. This was the second loss in a row when they

needed a win to get into the playoffs.

The Rams backup quarterback, John Wolford showed during preseason

scrimmages that he has the talent to play in the NFL.

RAMS

Rams quarterback, Jared Goff will miss the last game of the regular season Sunday against the Cardinals because of the thumb injury.

The NBA season started last week and at Press time the Lakers were 2-2 and

the Clippers were 2-1. The Lakers started a four-game road trip last Wednesday

against the San Antonio Spurs and they play the Spurs again on New Years' Day at

5 p.m. They face Memphis on Sunday at 3 p.m. and Memphis again on Tuesday at

5 p.m. They return home on Thursday, January 7, against the Spurs at 7 p.m.

and the play a much-improved Phoenix Suns team, led by point guard Chris Paul
