Robbery Suspect Arrested

On Saturday October 18, at 3:24 PM, Culver City Police Officers responded to a radio call of a vehicle break-in in progress in the 3400 block of Cattaragus Avenue. During the incident, the owner of the vehicle confronted the suspect, at which point the suspect physically assaulted him and fled on foot with property belonging to the victim.

A perimeter was quickly established by responding officers and the suspect was found hiding in a backyard. The suspect ultimately surrendered and was arrested for robbery. The victim was treated by the Culver City Fire Department for injuries sustained to his face during the violent assault.

The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for criminal filing consideration.
