SMPL Celebrates Dog Days Staff

The Santa Monica Public libraries (some of them anyway) are allowing patrons to pick up books curbside. The intention is for pickup to be contactless during Covid-19.

"No appointments are necessary. You will receive notification that your holds are ready for pick up by your preferred method (email, text, or phone). Once you have been notified pick up your items at the location you selected when you reserved the items," says the library in a press release.

The idea is to order books online. You may also call in orders at 310-458-8600. So it's just like ordering a pizza! Curbside service is available at three locations:

Main and Pico Branch Libraries: Monday-Friday 10:00 am -3:00 pm

Montana Avenue Branch Library: Monday & Wednesday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

"Upon arrival follow the directions on the signs posted at the Branch. When picking up items bring your Library card and ID, please wear a mask, and practice physical distancing," says SMPL.
