Culver City Democrats Announce November Endorsements

September 17, 2020

The Culver City Democratic Club successfully held its first online endorsement election during the first week of September. A secure and secret vote was held using electionbuddy.com, and there was a decisive result in every race. Candidates needed 60% of votes cast to be endorsed, while propositions only needed a majority. A few candidates and measures were endorsed at an earlier meeting.

Postcards with these endorsements will arrive in the next three weeks, so voters will have them handy to consult while filling in their mail-in ballots.

The CCDC thanks all the candidates, staff, and members who participated in this process. "This is an especially important moment in Culver City history as we face unprecedented public

health, economic, housing, and racial justice challenges all at the same time. The Democratic Club

stands behind leaders at the local, state, and national level who will advocate for an agenda that puts the needs of working people ahead of large corporate interests and puts public health ahead of politics," said Culver City Democratic Club President Pete Rockwell.

The Culver City Democratic Club was founded in 1952, which makes it the oldest Democratic orga- nization on the westside. For more information, and to join, visit c-c-d-c.com
