Mike Snell has been inducted into the Golden Book Of Distinguished Service

 

The Culver-Palms Family YMCA is proud to announce Mike Snell of Culver City, has been inducted into the Golden Book Of Distinguished Service due to his involvement as a volunteer for over 40 years. The Golden Book of Distinguished Service a tradition now in its 86th year that dates back to 1934. It is an honor reserved for our most extraordinary and committed volunteers who have distinguished themselves as true champions of the Los Angeles of Metropolitan YMCA.

Mike has shown extraordinary leadership, commitment, and devotion to service and loyalty to the YMCA and its core values while serving his 40-year tenure on the Board of Managers. His selfless leadership is the epitome of board service. His outstanding record of service includes two terms as Board Chairman. He also served as the Annual Support Campaign Chair for four years. Additionally, Mike joined the Y's Men Service Club where he spent many holiday seasons as a volunteer working at the Y's Christmas Tree Lot.

Recognized throughout the Culver-Palms community, Mike is one of the Y's strongest advocates. The rigorous demands he faced building his own successful enterprise did not prevent him from freely giving of his time and his energy every Y project he could. It was his unselfish spirit, unwavering service, and unparalleled enthusiasm that influenced the Exchange Club of Culver City to support the Y's Cause and to eventually become one of the Y's longest and largest supporters. Mike and his wife, Lisa, are avid supporters of the Y and steadfastly promote the mission and cause of the Culver-Palms Family YMCA. Mike is a proud member of the President's Club, ensuring that the Culver-Palms Family YMCA will be available for future generations to come.
